Oil Paint

Rabbit Skin Glue: This sizing glue is used as a ground for oil painting, generally applied to linen canvas to shrink it around the stretcher. There is no synthetic alternative. Polyvinyl acetate can be used as a ground for oil painting (should be applied to both sided of the canvas), but does not shrink canvas tight as it dries.

Hi,

Good information on this page.
I have a question regarding vegan ink and ink sticks for chinese/japanese calligraphy.

I have been trying to find out if there are specific brands that do not use any animal ingredients in their calligraphy ink and ink sticks and I have a hard time with this.

Can you help me find a good bottled ink or ink stick that does not have any animal ingredients?

thanks,
Anand
